Emergency Response Planning
The Team includes personnel who has specifically undergone post graduate
courses on Emergency Response Planning in foreign Universities and
personnel who has extensive exposure in fighting large scale industrial fires.
Our team also include personnel who have been trained by Fortune 500
companies to manage petrochemical plants handling highly volatile
chemicals. These training covered responding to emergencies associated
with these chemicals and installations. These competencies enable our
team to assist and advice clients more readily and confidently.
Masters in Disaster Management
One of the team members has studied disaster management for his Master
of Science Degree. The study program was focusing on Community
Disaster Preparedness and covered sciences behind extreme events. The
Masters program took the team member to Italy where on his own initiative
he obtained exposure to Emergency Response Planning methodologies
used by Italian Organisations.
Work Experience
The team has extensive exposure to Business Continuity Planning and
Emergency Response Planning. The Team has reviewed emergency
preparedness of more than 70 business organisations and has developed
Business Continuity Plans for 2 very important business Organisations in
Sri Lanka. Further more the team is responsible for developing Emergency
Response Plans for more than 20 business organisations
Our effort to master Business Continuity Planning goes back to year 1994 and
ever since we have been accumulating valuable insight into Business
Continuity Planning.
Master Business Continuity Professional
With the knowledge placed by international entities on Business Continuity
Planning we sponsored one of our team members to master Business
Continuity Planning. This effort paid significant benefits as we were able to
make history for Sri Lanka by supporting the first Sri Lankan to qualify and
become the Master Business Continuity Professional. He followed
modules taught by Disaster Recovery Institute International of USA and sat for
corresponding exams. Based on his results from these exams and extensive
experience gathered he was awarded the Master Business Continuity
Professional
Ever since bring qualified he has attended numerous international conferences
on Business Continuity Planning and has conducted few full day seminars on
the subject.
He led the team which assisted a major Sri Lankan Bank and local operation
of Multi National to develop their Business Continuity Plans. Further more he
recently conducted a Audit/Review of a BCP of an Insurance organisation
where by he was able to contribute significantly to the BCP process of the
organisation..
