Banking with Continuity
We have developed a comprehensive Business Continuity Planning for a
major bank in Sri Lanka. In doing so we have taken the bank through the
entire process of BCP development and currently we are assisting the
Bank to maintain their BCP. In doing so we have assisted the bank to
meet Central Bank guidelines as well as Disaster Recovery Institute
Internationals Guidelines.
Reliability of Supply
We have developed Business Continuity Plans for a local operation of a
Multi National with operation in 28 countries. The exercise was conducted
while conforming the multinationals stringent guidelines launched from their
Head Office in United Kingdom.
Assurance of Insurance
We just completed an Audit/Review of a Business Continuity Plan of a
major Insurance Organisation operating in Sri Lanka. The review was
conducted against their global BCP practices as well as against BS
25999-2 standard. Through the review we were able reinforce the BCP
practices and culture prevailing in the organisation.
Current Assignments
We are currently being engaged by two organisations on assignments
related to Business Continuity Planning. In one assignment we will be
assisting the organisation to improve its controls Vis-avis threats identified
and to enhance the emergency preparedness of the organisation. Second
assignment involves development of comprehensive Business Continuity
Plans while complying to BS 25999-2 standard to a local conglomerate.
We have been promoting Business Continuity Planning from Year 2001
onwards and we have accumulated significant amount of experience with
respect to total Business Continuity Planning as well as on components of
BCP.

We have conducted numerous training program on BCP and following is an
indication of same:
- Half a day training for Union Assurance
- Full day public Seminar on BCP in 2005 January
- Full day Seminar on BCP for Seylan Bank on April 2006
- Full day public Seminar on BCP in November 2006
- Full day public seminar on BCP in November 2008
Other Similar Experiences
We have carried out reviews of emergency preparedness of more than 70
companies. We have developed Emergency Response Plans covering fire,
bomb threat, civil war, pandemics, boiler blast and environmental emergencies.
